Here ‘state’ is
the same as being under the influence of some ‘flamenco hallucinogen’.
2 Rudolf
Austrian dancer and choreographer of Hungarian origin
who was one of the most influential dance theorists of the 20th century.
Trained between Paris and Germany, he devoted himself to didactics and in 1910
created the school of free dance through which, among others, Mary Wigman and
Kurt Joos, important figures in dance, passed, his principle being "every
exterior movement is the consequence of an interior one".

Ballet steps performed by dancers in preparation for dance.
At the beginning
of the 20th century, the avant-garde in dance, such as the creation of American
modern dance, German expressionist dance, and free dance, spread by Isadora
Duncan, established new ways of approaching the body, but they were all derived
from ballet. The training, coding model remained the same, only adding the use
of the floor.

The ideal of beauty of the Greeks is: symmetry,
proportion and balance, which will be translated into a certain type of body
for ballet, something that is opposed to the body of flamenco dance, something
we will see later on.
8
Dance styles that use the body in a differentiated
way, the contact between them, the non-regulation of a standard dance code, the
everyday movements within the language itself, the use of the floor and the
contrasts of dynamics and loss of balance. There is no longer a morality of
dance, beauty takes a back seat.
9
The flamenco teaching model is identical to the ballet
model, even if it involves footwork. The system is vertical, the teacher has
the knowledge, the body is disciplined, a collective identity is sought. In
dance academies, you can see how 6 or 8 girls are taught and then repeat a
group choreography all the same. This is what I mean, it follows the same
pattern as ballet.
10Aggripina Vaganova, (San Petersburgo 1879 -1959). Maestra

Here the concept of the academy is current as a place
dedicated to teaching.
The researcher places the first attempt to found the
National Academy between 1787 and 1799 by the master-disciple of Noverre,
Doménico Rossi. The second attempt was in 1807 after the regulations for the
management and reform of the theatres were approved. And the last one in 1850
with the creation of the Teatro Real de Madrid by Isabel II, here Mr. Antonio
Appiani was hired as a master of dances in French style, as director and master
of dances and first mime dancer (Alberdi, A. 2018: 146 - 152).

According to D. Preciso, the inventor of the Bolero
was a man from La Mancha called Sebastián Cerezo, although other versions claim
that it was the Sevillian Antón Boliche.

Position of the feet rotated outwards from the hip
position. Although this is unnatural, it is the aesthetic basis of classical
ballet. The difference with the foot placement for urban dances would be the
parallel feet, not the rotated feet as it is usually called.
20
vertical.
Turn with the torso leaning forward where the dancer
modifies the vertical axis.
21
Turn on one foot with the other foot tucked in at the
knee.
22
Repetition of several chained turns where the weight
is shifted from one leg to the other and the fifth position is maintained.
23
Here corps de ballet refers to a group of dancers
complementary to the main figure of the dance.
24
Barre is the name given to a series of exercises that
are performed at the beginning of ballet class where the students, leaning on a
barre, control their axis and balance and perform a series of combinations of
movements that are usually the postural preparation for dance, where the body
is trained to be able to perform pirouettes, steps and jumps.

giros necesarios.
One leg in the air twisting step where the hips change
position and the leg in the air takes small impulses to generate the required
number of twists.

escobillas o remates? ¿Cuál es el concepto de llamada?
This work also develops a system of notation of
flamenco dance structures -palos- where the student and the teacher can
understand the cante and the dance codes implicit in it, something that
had not been written down in this way until now. This system organizes and
structures the dances following a clear and simple to understand pattern,
starting with the initial questions: where do the marcajes go? where do
the footwork go? where do the escobillas or remates go? what is the
concept of llamada?
28
Dancing to guitar
and piano, it is significant that many dances lacked vocals at this time,
something rare today.
29
By constructing a dancer's aesthetic, the idea of
natural, wild, and improvised is also being broken, so the aesthetic is
constructed on the idea of what it must represent. A collective ideology rather than a real model.
The idea of force in a heel turns
or hip turn is produced by the difference in the time at which each part of the
body turns: the hip turns first, then the torso, and finally the head, which in
turn arrives first.

With the body on the axis, the compass or its accents
are marked with a movement only of the periphery, i.e. legs or arm where there
is no displacement or change of weight.
35 Desplazamiento
Displacement of
the body, usually with the arms upwards and using diagonals. The displacement
can be with or without marking the accents of the bar.
